Rules and Regulations
All users of the Data Valley platform are bounded by the rules and regulations as listed here.
Any participants of Data Valley challenges once registered a member account on the platform, they are considered as to agree and accept all of the rules and regulations here.
Data Valley reserves the right to change the rules and regulations from time to time. For any new updates, the registered members will get a notice on the website, or being noticed through email.
All participants of any Data Valley challenges should use the SAME email address when they sign-up as a member, register to participate a challenge and submit the result.
All participants of any Data Valley challenges must submit the result by the specified deadline without any excuse of delay. All results submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
The copyright, intellectual property and other rights of all datasets, if any, as provided in the Data Valley are solely owned by the data providers, topic sponsors or Data Valley, and solely for the purpose of competition. Participants are strictly prohibited to i) sell the provided datasets; ii) to make profit from the datasets in whatever means; iii) to continuously use the datasets after competition without the written permission from Data Valley, the data providers, or topics sponsors.
Cheating or misconduct behaviors are strictly prohibited in any challenges of Data Valley. Cheating or misconduct behaviors mean:
a. Submit the result by making use of other people’s work instead of the participant’s own work;
b. Use 2 or more than 2 accounts to submit result in the same challenge;
c. During the active phase of the competition, the model, source code, submission results and other information is shared with other participants without the official permission of Data Valley;
d. All other undesirable means/behaviors to affect the fairness and justice of the competition;
8. The term of use is also subject to the following additional restrictions:
a. Actions that violate any law or regulation;
b. Is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
c. Jeopardizes the security of your Data Valley account or anyone else’s (such as allowing someone else to log in to the platform as the participants themselves);
d. “Crawls,” “scrapes,” or “spiders” any page, data, or content in the Data Valley platform in whatever means;
e. Violates the intellectual property rights or any other rights of anyone else (including Data Valley);
9. Data Valley reserves the final rights to disqualify any participant for late submission or improper behavior in any competition.
